Sankalpa by Zigizen live your heart's purpose 2017-01-02T20:29:14Z http://www.zigizen.com/feed/atom WordPress Admin http://www.rabbisigal.org <![CDATA[Skillful Self Mentoring]]> http://www.zigizen.com/?p=3055 2015-12-03T15:52:01Z 2015-12-03T12:19:28Z Our responses are impaired when we are overwhelmed by life and information. So much so that even when an inspirational message is presented, we are not receptive to it. Do you wonder when things are REALLY going to change for you and you would not need the help? We put in a ton of effort and time! We become distracted, disappointed and are tiered when not much changes.

When will I finally be able to breath freely and be stress free, and enjoy life more?

How about, now?
I have learned a lot from others over the years and still do, but most effective has been self mentoring myself step by step through life for many years. We all do it, but sometimes not well or even defeat ourselves and become stuck in patterons. I am speaking of skillful self mentoring self mentor? Because I am the only one who is with me at all times. Ultimately, for me, it is moment to moment remembering to welcome any message, any input of sorts, or any event, and use it to take me back home to freedom and peace. Where I am at ease, compassionate, and right action arises spontaneously. It may sound simplistic, but not easily done when we are living a life that is disconnected from our nature. Our nature is to be connected and at ease in and with all there is.

How we respond to anything in life, is what determines our happiness and well-being. It is an inside job and you are the boss.

I have been developing and practicing skills to navigate through life for many years and I feel the cumulative effect of it ripening as it takes less effort to stay on task. I feel like I relax into my “sea of being” easily and without needing to “take off” and have a long readjustment period. However, retreats and coaching were very helpful to me over the years, and now I am glad I can offer these services to others. What I teach is what I practice; ways to find our “home” by reminding ourselves we are a vast interconnected ocean on the inside and out.

When we relax into our nature of freedom and peace, we love instead of judge, we embrace instead of fight, and we share instead of hold back.

I am delighted to continue to share the method of wearing Sankalpa® pendants and mentoring people to live with more ease and contentment and fulfill their heart’s purpose.

A.J. Heschel

I love how Heschel juxtaposition the activity of prayer, which many perceive as a personal activity; a calming balm to life, a place of solace, and turns it on its head by making it political, communal, and about shattering and action.

Life is aided by activities that wake us up. Prayer is a way to remove the slumber, end denial, and make us alive with passion for what is right and good. To me, personal and political are interconnected; our inner work and communal/public work have no real boundary.

Tune in, discover and reconnect with your truth and let your actions wise, and if need be subversive. Make time to pray, transcend and integrate each day so you live and share your authentic self anew.

“A.J.Heschel viewed prayer not as an encounter with God, but as an event of being encountered by God. In prayer, he taught, our asking of God gives way before the awareness of being asked by God. Heschel taught that religion begins with a question and that theology begins with a problem. He even went so far as to assert that a person without a problem may not be a person. His teaching was not directed at resolving our problems as much as provoking our questions. Even then, his most common response in class was, “Is that the real question?”

Some critics avoided grappling with the philosophical challenges posed by Heschel by conveniently categorizing him as a “mere” poet or mystic. Realizing that we apprehend more than we comprehend, Heschel refused to reduce the perceptions of the mind to the rationally transparent. He knew only too well how much of religious affirmation is sheer metonymy; that religious language demands the “accommodation of words to higher meanings.” Thus he did not hesitate to deploy a poetic turn to point to “the unutterable surplus of what we feel.” He, of course, also rejected any flight to irrationality, rather he urged us to see the mystery in the interstitial crevices of everyday being. To adequately grasp Heschel’s thought, we must follow his advice to “unthink many thoughts.” (excerpted from Reuven Kimelman article about Heschel)

Enter the mystery of the heart in the crevices of everyday being and unthink many thoughts. To know you, the one who is connected to everything, you must enter your own inner life.

I believe that every one of us has the means to be happy, to access the warm and compassionate states of mind that bring happiness. In fact, it is one of my fundamental beliefs that not only do we inherently possess the potential for compassion, but I believe that the basic or underlying nature of human beings is gentleness.” ~ Dalai Lama

In our rough and fast world responding with gentleness may seem to be ineffective. We feel like we need to fight with power of a fist and harsh words to succeed. Cultivating compassionate states of minds with gentleness – our basic nature, helps us to open with kindness and forgiving attitude to ourselves and others. Try it. It will cause waves of change around you and within you. When you remember and live in this gentle way it becomes you Sankalpa – your heart’s purpose, and it spreads warmth, kindness and joy.

Enjoy the practice of cultivating happiness through the heart and mind. Choose to be kind and gentle.

Find Your Passion!

We live days and years in an auto-pilot mode, lose touch with our core selves, our passion, and become followers of a life that has very little to do with who we are. We know it because we have an empty feeling inside, a nagging, a longing to live our truth, our heart’s purpose.

When we resolve to shift the orientation to living, from the inside rather than the outside, we become happier and fulfilled. It takes commitment and dedication to make the shift, but it is worth the effort, and it does get easier, a new “second nature” can be developed. A new habit of checking in within.
Try these three ways to find your passion:
1.What moves you? What gives you goose bumps? Make a list of goose bumps moments to identify your passions.
2. Try to do one small courageous act every day; something daring, interesting, and new.
3. Explore what it means to align with your creativity and live from it, instead of living in a survival mode.
(The three ways above are from Greg Mooers’s Heart’s Virtue)

Enjoy.

Planting seeds of hope in hearts & minds

Inspiring people to live their heart’s purpose in all walks of life

When I created Zigizen I had a bigger vision for inspiring as many people as we can to have hope and live more fully from the heart. I created the concept of -Live your heart’s purpose, designed beautiful jewelry, and shared methods in mentoring, classes and retreats. I aspired to reach beyond the reach of those who can afford purchasing necklaces and attend classes and retreats with me.

With BOGO – Buy One Give One we reach out to those in need and spread hope even wider. Why hope is so important? Because when we remember to stay positive and welcome healing and repair, we can imagine a life of well-being and goodness. Even in the worst situation a little light of hope can illuminate the darkness so we can find our way.

We are glad to be able to spread our message of hope, inspiring those who need it most. We share this with those who need to remember to not give up even when life is hard and challenging. So they too can dream and hope for abundance, peace, healing, and living fully from the heart.

When you buy a necklace we donate one to homeless and/or abused teens and women.

Help us heal the world one necklace at a time.

We distribute the necklaces to teens and women in need and to organizations supporting teens and women in transition. If you would like to suggest an organization please contact us.

Thank you, Sigal

It is simply the creation of a space in which we are able to expose and undo our neurotic games, our self-deceptions, our hidden fears and hopes.” ~Chogyam Trungpa

Zigizen creations with scrolls are meditation tools. When we wear them we are reminded to pause, breath and reflect on the written affirmation we wrote to focus on each day. With the help of the power of our own words, we find the space to venture beyond the habits and usual patterns and create new positive grooves. We listen to the wisdom of our heart and declare our truth. Our heartfelt desire and purpose guided by the voice of desired values. Wear close to the heart and be reminded to live your heart’s purpose everywhere you go.

Today, make time to listen to your heart’s desire and write an affirmation reflecting your commitment and desire to live more fully.
